Public EV Charging Park

Maier & Korduletsch

The Next Mobility Hub in Passau represents the “fuel station” of the future: the site offers customers a range of energy solutions – from EV charging for passenger cars and trucks to conventional fuel and hydrogen for heavy-duty transport.

The goal was to identify a solution that optimizes energy consumption at the site while simultaneously avoiding the need for costly grid expansion.

Client:

  • Maier & Korduletsch Unternehmensgruppe
  • Segment: Operators of fuel and charging infrastructure

Installer:

  • Bachner Group

Location:

  • Passau, Germany

Requirements:

  • High power output for fast-charging infrastructure
  • Grid-supportive operation
  • Cost-effectiveness
  • Future-proof, scalable solution
  • Outdoor-capable system

Existing Assets:

  • Electric fast-charging park (12 fast-charging points)
  • Hydrogen fueling station for heavy-duty transport (including hydrogen compressor)
  • conventional refueling facilities

Implemented Solution:

  • 2x FENECON Industrial L
  • Power: 2x736 kW
  • Capacity: 2x 1288

Results:

Grid expansion avoided through intelligent peak shaving.

Reliable operation of 12 fast-charging points, even at high utilization levels.

Integration of e-mobility, hydrogen, and conventional fuels into a grid-supportive overall system.

Conclusion:

By deploying two FENECON Industrial L energy storage systems, a state-of-the-art and scalable mobility hub was realized. The intelligent energy management system increases on-site consumption, reduces grid load, enables high charging capacities, and creates the foundation for additional revenue streams through energy trading.
